When you use ChordyMatch, we receive the current track information (artist and song name) from your device to fetch matching guitar chords. We also collect standard technical data such as IP address for security and analytics purposes.
How We Use Data
The track information is used exclusively to retrieve and display guitar chords. We do not create user profiles, track listening habits over time, or correlate requests to identify individual users. Each request is processed independently.
Data Storage & Caching
To provide fast chord lookup, we cache results on our servers for up to 30 days. Cached data contains only the artist, song, and chord content — no personal identifiers. This data cannot be traced back to any specific user or device.
Third-Party Sharing
We do not share user data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Children's Privacy
ChordyMatch is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
